Exclusive First look @ The Midnight Circus Album Sampler – Win Advanced Test Presses!

this story
UK Garage never sounded so good with the Midnight Circus

We’ve got a super-hot UK garage exclusive with the first look at The Midnight Circus Album Sampler.

Find out more, hear the tracks and find out how to win an advanced test press inside!

The 4-track sampler is a preview of the tracks that will appear on the Circus’s forthcoming album Go For The Juggler. The forward-thinking record is an attempt to take garage in a new direction spawning a new sound for the UKG scene.

The Midnight Circus said of the sampler:

“With this Album Sampler we wanted to experiment and try out some pretty different ideas, so it really isn’t a traditional sounding UKG record at all.

The tempo is similar, the beats are broken and the vibe is UP!

I guess we are bored to tears with Old School & Old School sounding tracks and in a nutshell this EP is about looking to the future as opposed to dwelling on the past.

UKG needs to evolve and step out of UKG’s shadow… (if that makes sense).
Hopefully this will inspire the next generation of Garage Producers as much as creating it has inspired us.. ”

The vinyl features the highly anticipated Love Suicide featuring legardary garage vocalist Robbie Craig, alongside the winning remix of Move from the recent competition run by SnF.

Win an advance test-pressing of The Midnight Circus Album Sampler

We’re giving away 4 pre-release signed test pressings of the sampler. To get your hands on a copy of this groundbreaking record, all you’ll need to do is answer this question:

  • During which track on this 4 track sampler can you hear the ad lib ‘Motherf***ing Wastegash’?
(For those who don’t know what an ad lib is, it is a bit of freestyle vocal that accompanies the main vocal part).

Winners will be chosen at random. Send your answer, name and email address to midnightcomp@slicknfresh.co.uk. By entering you are agreeing to be bound by our terms & conditions.

The competition closes on Friday 16th November 2007 with the winners announced soon after.

Good luck!
